Research:opening titles

I researched and watched the opening titles of the conjuring several  times to understand how they work and the sequence they are in. The titles are written in black over a white background in Sans-serif font. The colour contrast helps the writing stand out from the light background. The importance of people is shown by the size of the fonts for example, in a smaller font it says "directed by" and the name of the director is much larger "JAMES WAN"

The opening titles are made up of old photos being put under a Eiki still overhead projector and the film that goes over it has the titles on. This sets the scene as it is set in the 70's and they wouldn't have a modern projector.I created a timeline of the opening titles. I created this by every time i saw a new title i wrote down the timing and the title that appeared on the screen. This helped as i could work out the difference between each new title and how long the opening titles ran for. It also helped me identify the Important people of making a film and what we should include when creating opening titles for our horror film opening.
